User tips

When can I take a new bike?

5 minutes after you returned a bike, you can take another one. Your time then starts again from zero.

When you arrive at a full or empty station:

Scan your Velo card or enter your codes. You will immediately see on the screen in which nearby stations there are still locks or bikes available. You get 15 minutes extra to return your bike into another station.

A defect on the assigned bike?

Return the bike in a lock within 3 minutes. Scan your card or enter your codes.  You can immediately take another bike.

Minimal and maximal duration per ride?

Bike at least 3 minutes to be able to return the bike correctly. You are allowed to use a bike maximum 4 consecutive hours. If you exceed this limit 3 times, your day or week pass or your Velo year card will automatically be blocked.
